Hardness
- Hardness is the result of dissolved minerals in a water supply, primarily calcium and magnesium. Scale formation on fixtures, little or
no suds from soaps, poor results in laundry, scale accumulation in plumbing and hot water tanks, soap scum deposits.

Corrosion
- Corrosion is the deterioration of plumbing and / or fixtures associated with water quality. Blue/green staining on fixtures.
Rusty water not originating from the well or municipal water supply.

Iron and Manganese
- Iron and manganese are both metals that can be present in water. Orange, red or black stains on fixtures, laundry, or surfaces coming in
contact with water. Undesirable metallic taste in water.

Taste and Odors
- Any taste and/or odor in a water supply that makes the water objectionable for use. Tastes and odors can come and go or remain constant.

Total Dissolved Solids
- TDS is a measurement of all dissolved mineral content in a water supply, expressed in parts per million (ppm). Water that leaves deposits
on fixtures after evaporation, has a salty or brackish taste, or has a known content of mineral in excess of accepted drinking water standards.
